Dot dot dot welcomes contributions. We rarely commission writers to write about a specific topic. Instead, we invite people to both write and/or design pieces about htmlects of visual culture that genuinely occupy their thoughts. This way we hope to receive genuinely engaged contributions. Our interests are diverse, ranging across the arts, and from the abstracts to specifics of visual culture. Because of our publishing frequency (or lack of; every 6 months) we try to avoid time-based contributions; reviews, newsy articles etc. We are also trying to avoid conventional historical articles which are generally done well enough by other journals and books. Rules We prefer receiving suggestions for contributions by . Please send an abstract first (about 100 words). Include a brief biography of yourself. Do not send us anything larger then 1Mb without informing us first. Dot dot dot is an independent magazine and we cannot afford to pay for the contributions YET - though we're working on it. Sorry. We deeply respect the kind people who contribute knowing there will be no pay, and try and keep them furnished with promises of lifetime subscriptions and other bribes. We respond to all contribution suggestions. Be warned though: it may take anything between 5 minutes to 5 months for a response. If you would not appreciate constructive criticism to your work, please do not send us anything. It would not work, believe us. Book or software reviews are not considered. If want to send your contribution by postal services use the address below. Do not use any courier services. dot dot dot magazine |
